Time and Attendance Software Company Demonstrates TC-1 Functions and Features at Princeton Marriott Hotel and Conference Center
PRINCETON, NJ, October 18, 2007 - Datamatics Management Services Inc., a leading provider of labor management services, today held its 15th annual User Conference. In staying consistent with their mission of "providing their clients with improvement," Datamatics provided a day of training that helped to make a difference for its TC-1 users.
Held for the third time at the luxurious Princeton Marriott Hotel and Conference Center at Forrestal Village, users came from far and wide for the annual event. With 36 attendees from companies as diverse as Coca-Cola, Vought Aircraft, Benjamin Moore, and Zions Bank, users were bound together by their appreciation of the TC-1 time and attendance system and by a desire to learn the enhanced capabilities of this innovative software.
Some of these improvements include:
- A new menu layout, with better use of sub-menus
- An undo split time record
- A new report scheme for the Job Cost Report writer
- Streaming messages on the Winclock and Kiosk clock
- New internal audit reports
To start the day, Software Developers Kevin Heinle and Ray Embry trained users on the TC-1 updates. In addition to demonstrating some of the neat color schemes of the software, they also demonstrated message notifications, the expansion of the Accrual History report, and creating the work flow process through automation.
Users then broke off into training sessions where they got their specific TC-1 questions answered. Of special note in this regard was Software Support Manager, Dina Amontis, who gave a detailed presentation on the scheduling features of TC-1. By pointing to the three types of schedules; fixed, floating, and free flow, and encouraging her listeners to consider topics such as hour misrepresentation, editing time records, and clocking in/out for lunch, Dina was quite informative and helped to reduce the anxieties of her listeners. Another noteworthy presenter at the user conference was System Administrator, Craig Meadowcroft, who demonstrated the most recent innovations in data collection hardware, paying special attention to biometric devices such as the hand punch, fingerprint reader, and iris scan.
After enjoying a gourmet buffet-style lunch, attendees were treated with the "Positive Power of Humor" by Rosemarie Poverman. By urging her audience to not take themselves so seriously, Rosemarie appealed to the lighter side of the attendees and even had the audience perform a "high school band ensemble." Although this precious moment brought tremendous laughs to the entire audience, perhaps nobody's smile was as wide as Isabel Pererra of Benjamin Moore, who won the event's "Digital Movie Camera giveaway."
Although Isabel may have won the event's contest, all attendees of this User Conference came away as a "winner." In addition to the TC-1 Labor Management Certificate that the attendees received by participating in the conference, the networking and knowledge that the conference provided truly made it an event to remember.
