Interactive Voice Response ( IVR )
For mobile work environments looking to track an employee's time, and quite possibly confirm the location of an individual through caller ID, an IVR application makes good business sense. Several alternatives are available for both in-house and hosted applications.
Smart Technology
A caller is prompted for entry of his/her PIN, then the transaction is time stamped for that specific person: their "in punch" and "out punch." Rules processing is available under IVR technology, the same as with other traditional collection devices, so that job, project or client information can be entered. Voice recognition may also be used in place of PIN entry.
CommunicationsA specific phone number (could be an 800 number) is dialed and answered by the system.
Edit-Clock FunctionsMany companies already have IVR and may want to enjoy the benefits of attendance recording through the system in which they've already made an investment. The IVR could also operate completely independent of on-line capability and the data made available through a batch update that Datamatics provides. Either voice or a phone keypad can activate TC-1 based on client needs.
